Get up! Feel your feet on the ground. Take a moment and press your feet against the ground.
Pause and take a big inhale.
Stretch your arms and back. Open your chest like a proud peacock and walk around for a few minutes until you notice a shift, a settling down. Take a deep breath through your nose and let out a big sigh from your mouth. Leave your eyes open and look around gently and slowly. What do you see around you that is comforting or neutral?
If you are comfortable with touch, ask someone you feel safe with to touch you on your shoulder, hold your hand or give you a 20 second hug! You can also ask them to simply breath with you. Remember, it’s going to pass and you are okay.
